These paintings have a geometric bias even though they are based on elements from animated films, magazine ads and/or botanic images. I feel almost transported into the scene. The backgrounds become my reality and I am in a land of alternate landscapes. Often I seem to be viewing these images from a spot far above so that what I paint becomes a view or map from outer space.
